Accident & Incident Management System (AIMS)

Team Business Accident & Incident Management application (AIMS) is designed to help you manage accidents, incidents and near misses. The system provides for a structured investigation of accidents and incidents, from which preventative actions can then be generated and tracked. "Lessons learned" and best practice can be identified and shared across the organisation.

Poor Health & Safety costs money in lost production and lost productivity. By implementing AIMS, a company can readily identify the causes of accidents and incidents, spot trends and take action to prevent these incidents and their associated costs from reoccurring.

Accident & Incident Management can exist as a standalone application or can be implemented as part of the full Team Business suite.

The user interface is delivered via the IBM Notes client or web browser. The application will run on any Windows Operating System, Linux or Apple Mac.

The applications runs on a number of hardware platforms including IBM xSeries servers and IBM Bladecentre's.

As a user of AIMS over several years, we have found that it is a system that allows us to demonstrate our compliance with auditing bodies/ external authorities, by helping us to record and investigate accidents, incidents and near misses in a methodical way.

AIMS enables our company to demonstrate to employees that health and safety is taken seriously, by making the AIMS system available for them to submit accidents, incidents and near misses for investigation.

The support from e-solutions is first class, with any issues acted upon and resolved promptly.

e-solutions continue to improve the AIMS system with the latest developments in health and safety in mind, and are quick to implement any upgrades to the system.

The AIMS (Accident and Incident Management System) database has proven an extremely valuable tool for monitoring and tracking of incidents. Continuous improvements in how data can be extracted and analysed, allowing trends to be spotted as well as ensuring (through links to the Actions Database and its controls on when a report can be closed) that all incidents are properly investigated and that appropriate corrective action is not just identified but implemented effectively, are key to our working towards the goal of an ever-safer plant where risks are well understood and controlled.

The flexibility in how the investigation sections can be configured (with more serious incidents and loss of containment incidents requiring more detail than others), and other benefits such as the option of a multi-lingual format across different sites, mean it is does not overcomplicate the requirements for investigation of low impact incidents, and fits well within a multinational organisation.
